Kaitlyn is a recent graduate from the University of Southern California, where she majored in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. During her time at USC, she was involved in InterVarsity Christian Fellowship as a Bible study leader and the emcee of their large group meetings. Throughout college, Kaitlyn became passionate about ways that Jesus loves the poor and challenges us to do the same. She is currently studying for the MCAT, with the goal of becoming a doctor and serving in communities with little access to healthcare. Her passions include: social justice, environmental sustainability, and health equity. She can typically be found playing the guitar, reading, or skateboarding. As a Nashville native, Kaitlyn is excited to be back down South and is stoked about what God has in store for her this year as a Fellow.

Helen Cumbee Corey

Helen graduated in May of 2016 from Ole Miss with a degree in public policy. She grew up in the Episcopal Church and became involved in Campus Crusade in college. This past summer, she interned at the Cathedral Church of the Advent in youth ministry. Getting outside and experiencing new adventures with new people is one of her favorite things to do. She is thrilled to experience a new city with a great group of fellows.

Kristen Gunn

Kristen is a 2015 graduate of the University of Virginia, where she technically majored in religious studies and linguistics, but picked up at least a minor in coffee dates. After graduating, she spent several months studying poetry and theology in the Swiss Alps. She’s also worked as a writer. A native Texan, she loves people, the arts and the outdoors, and is excited to return to decent Mexican food.

Meredith Johnson

Meredith is a 2016 graduate of North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. Meredith earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with concentrations in Marketing and Entrepreneurship and a minor in Nonprofit Studies. While in school, Meredith was very active in her community, earning the award for Most Involved on Campus. Meredith has worked for a variety of start-ups in the downtown area and is driven by social entrepreneurship and social benefit. She has been involved in a youth group for the last 11 years and recently traveled to Mexico to do mission work. Meredith loves traveling and has traveled to 15 countries during her time in school, running, and the occasional coupon spree.

Jordan Jowers

Jordan is a 2016 graduate of The University of Tennessee in Knoxville where she studied Health and Human Science with aspirations to attend PA school in the future. A leadership team member in her on-campus ministry, and chaplain of her sorority Alpha Omicron Pi, Jordan loved her time spent at UT cheering on the VOLS! Born and raised in small town West Tennessee, Jordan keeps a small piece of the South with her wherever she goes. She loves this sweet journey called life, and she is thrilled to begin a new season in Dallas.

Liz is a 2016 graduate of Meredith College in Raleigh, NC. She earned a degree in Business Administration, with minors in Professional Writing and International Business. Liz was a participant and student leader in the campus ministry, Cru (Campus Crusade for Christ). Liz traveled frequently throughout college, spending summers in South Carolina and Colorado, as well as a semester abroad in New Zealand. She is interested in getting a Master’s degree in Social Work.

Ellen Phillips

Ellen graduated from Baylor University in 2014 with a degree in economics. During college, she was highly involved and worked as a R.A. to strengthen hall community. Ellen moved back to the DFW area in 2015 and served a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA with the Arlington Public Library. She has been involved with Church of the Incarnation since January 2016. Excited about Fellows, Ellen hopes to develop her understanding of vocation and of her role in the church and beyond.
